Professor Michael Salter is the Professor of Criminology at the University of New South Wales and an expert in child sexual abuse, gender-based violence and complex trauma. He is the Director of the East Asia and Pacific Hub of Childlight and the Chairperson of the Grace Tame Foundation. He is a past president of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation, the premier global organisation for the study and treatment of complex trauma. He sits on the editorial boards of the journals Child Abuse Review and the Journal of Trauma and Dissociation.
